Oat beta-glucan is a soluble fibre that is particularly concentrated (up to 95%) in the oat bran (outer layer) of an oat grain. It is effective in reducing cholesterol levels and regulating blood glucose. Studies have shown that the consumption of 3g oat beta-glucan daily significantly reduces total and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels.
